Back to Cloth

We are back to cloth diapers. A diapering dilemma after Cheeck to Cheek Diaper Service went out of business a few months ago lead us to gdiapers. They are a biodegradable version of disposable diapers. We loved them. Unfortunately, Frank developed a nasty diaper rash. After a full tube of prescription ointment, I decided to try some time off of gdiapers to see what happened. The rash improved when we used regular disposables, and then worsened again when we went back to gdiapers. We knew gdiapers, for whatever reason, contributed to the problem. Regular disposables were better, but they didn't solve the problem.

Shortly after we committed to gdiapers we learned about a new cloth diaper service in town. We made the decision to go back to cloth this week. After all, it had always been our first preference. Several days later we had our first pack of soft cloths, and Frank's rash was completely gone within 24 hours.

We're having problems with a rash at daycare. It clears up overnight with cloth. I'm not sure what I should do at this point... press cloth at daycare? It's way worse with pullups. They just are not breathable at all!

When it comes to Frank's equipment, don't make any rash decisions.

I'm sorry that the gdiapers gave Frankie a rash! I'm glad you've found a good local service though. Buying local is always best anyway.

Yay! So happy that another service popped up. If I could do them with daycare, I so would. Especially since we've had some rash issues and are starting to potty train.
I fear pullups.

I have met my match, and pullups are it. I hate hate hate them, but daycare uses them to potty train. I need to bite the bullet and put him in underwear for a weekend to see if he'll just get it.

Funny about the pull-ups. Our daycare insisted on actual diapers for potty training. They didn't allow pull-ups. I don't remember why...
